April 4th, 2022. Today we are excited to announce that SpiderDAO has officially bridged over its ecosystem to the Moonriver network!
After a successful test of our Nest staking program in December 2021, we have decided to accelerate the migration of the entire SpiderDAO ecosystem to Moonriver.
Get ready for new staking farms, NESTs, exclusive, hardware Mining and much more! A lot of exciting things are coming to the entire SpiderDAO ecosystem.
Why the Moonriver Network?
The $MOVR token (the utility token of the Moonriver Network) is used to pay gas fees on the Moonriver network. However, unlike the current ETH gas prices, the Moonriver network fees are incredibly inexpensive, just a few cents per transaction. The inexpensive nature of the Moonriver network increases the profitability of any staking, farming, or mining project compared to a similar program on the Ethereum network, which we intend to fully utilise.
A quick recap of the Moonriver Network
The Moonriver network deployed as a parachain to Kusama in June 2021 and will also deploy to the Polkadot Network later this year. One of the most attractive features of Moonriver is that it is an easy On-Ramp to Kusama, which means that SpiderDAO can also quickly deploy their DApps to the Moonriver parachain (with little or no modifications) and gain easy access to the Kusama network. Alll our existing and future contracts and DApps will have a smooth and quick path to the network.
The Moonriver Network & the SpiderMiner
The Moonriver network is particularly suited to our recently launched SpiderMiner. Since the Moonriver network fees are incredibly inexpensive, miner owners can benefit from very low-cost transactions when moving, staking or swapping their mined tokens and save a fortune in Gas Fees compared to the Ethereum network.
A bridge to the Moon
In December 2021, we successfully collaborated with AnySwap to set up and deploy our Nest staking program on the Moonriver network and we have again collaborated with them to help our current or new $SPDR token holders and LP providers to simply, quickly, and cheaply bridge their $SPDR tokens to the Moonriver Network and recreate their LP (if necessary).
We will shortly publish a comprehensive step-by-step guide on how to navigate the migration of your SPDR tokens and Liquidity to the Moonriver network and some exciting announcements regarding Staking, Farming, Liquidity provision, and our brand new NFTs (watch this space!)
